The following information is for reference only:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e48 spline bosses were fitted on Defenders from 1993 to 1998, base model vehicles from 1998 to 2008, and all Defenders from 2008 onward.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eHowever, the 48 spline boss is NOT compatible with County specification and XS specification vehicles from 1998 to 2007. It also will NOT fit earlier Defenders produced before 1993, regardless of interior specification.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e48 spline steering wheels also come in 2 versions to confuse things further.
